Planting Season: It’s Not Over till it’s Over!
After a cold and rainy spring we had a glorious and amazing summer here in Maine. Labor Day has passed and children are back to school. But we still have some warm days ahead! As Tom Estabrook is always telling us: “Fall is for planting.” It’s not too late to establish some perennials, get your mums in the ground or pots, and to clean up your garden for the coming months. Great Time to Grab Deals
It’s a great time to grab deals at your local garden centers on trees, shrubs, and perennials. You still have plenty of time to get them rooted before the ground freezes up. Check out our directory for the garden centers nearest you. Your local garden centers are also a great place to meet friendly experts who will be happy to advise you on any of your gardening questions.

And of course, it is fair season. They are coming up fast, so don’t miss them! Some of the most popular ones are: Common Ground Country Fair, the Cumberland Fair, and the Fryeburg Fair.
