Here’s a look back at our inaugural show to remind you of why we need this color and beauty after a long, cold winter:
The second annual Maine Flower Show will take place in the Brick South Building of Thompson’s Point from March 22nd through March 25th of 2018. This year’s event will feature ample parking (included in your ticket price!) and much improved shuttle services. The general admission tickets are $20, $15 for seniors (can be used on any one of the four days) and $10 for Veterans on Friday, March 23rd. Children 12 and under are free. Early bird tickets are 20% regular prices, so get yours now.
The 2018 show feature 14 display gardens based on the theme: “Rooted in Maine.” In 2017 we had 16,000 attendees, and expect upwards of 20,000 for the 2018 show–which is why we’ve upgraded our parking and shuttle services in anticipation of large crowds. In addition to the display gardens, there will be more than 100 vendor booths with plants, hardscape, arbor and garden supplies for sale, as well as four consecutive days of seminars led by local experts in our horticultural community.
Owned and produced by members of Maine’s horticulture industry (MELNA), the Maine Flower Show is one of the biggest gardening and horticultural shows in the region. In conjunction with the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge, we will continue our giveaway of “mystery seed packets” for our Plant a Pollinator Garden! campaign. In order to stay up to date on all the happenings at the show, you can RSVP on Facebook.
We also appreciate everyone to join us in spreading the word about this event! Invite your friends and family, or perhaps make them a special gift by purchasing their ticket in advance.
