Eco Printing with Mary DeLano: Capture the flowers & leaves of summer in cloth
Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 9am–1pm
Create: 4 prints: includes 1 silk scarf & 1 vintage linen, take home that day
Fiber artist Mary DeLano will teach you the art and craft of Eco-printing; a process where plant materials are placed on specially treated fabric and then steamed to release the pigments in the plants, leaving realistic prints of the plants on the fabric. Participants will have a chance to experiment with different plants, learn about which plants print reliably, and create their own prints.
This is an intensely creative and hands-on workshop and we have room for just 10 participants. You’ll create four prints on four different types of cloth to take home. These make wonderful gifts if you can part with any of them! Fee is $60. Registration is required and spots will fill fast!
